Prescriptions Assistance Programs The cost of medication
can be a heavy financial burden even with insurance benefits. A number of the major pharmaceutical
companies provide some type of patient assistance programs to help with the cost of medication. Start
by asking your physician’s office for help. Most medical offices have at least one person on staff that
can help you determine if the pharmaceutical company that manufactures your medication has an assistance program. Two programs that are available include Together Rx Access and Partnership for Prescription Assistance. Together
Rx Access is a prescription savings program that ten pharmaceutical companies founded together. This
service is free and could save you from 25-40% on both brand name and generic medication. There is
no fee and only three eligibility requirements: 1. No prescription drug coverage 2. Not eligible for
Medicare 3. Legal resident of the US or Puerto Rico For information about this program,
call 1-800-444-4106 or visit their website at www.togetherrxaccess.com/Tx/jsp/home.jsp. The Partnership for Prescription Assistance is a single point of access to more than 475 public and
private patient assistance programs. More than 180 of the programs are offered by pharmaceutical companies. Even
if you have prescription insurance coverage, you may be eligible for some type of help. To contact PPA call 1-888-4PPA-NOW
or 1-888-477-2669 or online at www.pparx.org.
Use the following website to see a list of most of the major pharmaceutical companies: www.ispex.ca/companies/diapharm.html Simply click on the manufacturer of your medication, and you will be redirected to the website.
Free Medication Assistance Program I received this information on Friday. I don’t know anything about the program other
than the information given below. There is a website and phone number you can call if you have questions or want to
see if you qualify for the program. In case you didn't see this in the news. This is something else our families may benefit
from. An organization called NC MedAssist creates a mail order central pharmacy to provide free brand name & generic drugs. The drugs are donated by pharmaceutical companies. North Carolina residents who meet one of the following criteria are eligible to enroll in the program: - Adults
and children living at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level.
- Adults and children who do not
qualify for: Medicaid, Veterans Administration or private health insurance.
- Medicare Part D participants who fall in the “donut
hole” may be eligible after consultation with NC MedAssist.
Eligible residents can enroll in the program by
downloading an enrollment packet from the
NC MedAssist Web site, or by calling 1-866-331-1348.
FYI: Did
you know about the Shining Stars
Special Needs dance class at the Holly Springs School of Dance? Marilyn, the owner, offers it the first Saturday of every month from 10-11.
It is completely free, and they have a group of dancers from the studio who
come in to pair up with the children as they dance. Please feel free to call
Marilyn at 557-3270

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXRespite Care Information... Respite
fund http://www.teamdanielfoundation.org/respite.html The
path to services can feel like a maze. When you discover CAP services, the CAP waiting list can be long and/or frozen due
to budgetary reasons. We understand that this often happens and we know that families need a break. Team Daniel
Foundation wants to provide families in North Carolina with an opportunity to receive 75 hours
of respite services to a family
of a loved one with a developmental disability who receives no services and/or is on the waiting
list for services. Because the TDF Respite Fund serves siblings, families already served under the LLC will not be eligible
for TDF Respite services. Here is how you qualify for the 75 Respite hours: - Carefully review the Respite Fund Policy (PDF)
- Complete an Admission Application (PDF)
- Identify an employee to perform the respite (employee must have valid First Aid and CPR certifications)
- Complete an Employee Application (PDF)
- Write a 300 word document explaining why you should be selected to receive the 75 Respite hours
If you have any questions about the Team
Daniel Foundation Respite Fund call 910-489-9994.
To apply for the Respite Fund, please mail applications and 300 word document to: Team Daniel Foundation 3037F
